IF - note the use of "if" - the M1 is not ideally suited for the caching algorithm used by DaVinci Resolve Studio, the M1 may be better served by minimizing it, and allocating work space directly in virtual memory, leaving the handling to the processor hardware instead of user space caching software. Is it possible to issue a command - somewhere - that lowers Fusion memory reserved for caching even more? Even setting it to 1GB, 500MB or even zero GB - as an experiment?Īre there other, possibly “experimental” or “debugging” settings, that could be of interest to "fiddle around” with here? The Inspector Interface for Noise Reduction is now quite responsive, even when setting values for Spatial NR, that previously could lead to locked Inspector interface for up to a minute. Without the “dabbing around”, the initial slow(ish) frame rate continues consistently for video 2 for as long, as I decided to wait for a response touching "nothing". Video 1 still consistently 0.5 fps, but user interface is no longer affected to the same degree, as before. ![]() 16.33.51.png (109.27 KiB) Viewed 2710 timesįx-Video still 0.5 fps, but moving to second video, now after some seconds, starting low to very low fps and dabbing around with varying cursor positions in the non-noise reduced video, the system ups the ante to explosive and sudden 85 fps quickly settling down to the expected 25 fps consistently for video 2.
